What is Back Scanning?
Back scanning is a term often used to describe the process involved in scanning a paper archive which has built up over time. These documents could have built up over time onsite or are currently being held in an offsite storage facility. Customers looking at a Back Scanning project will have a large number of boxes and files which they require converting into a digital format. To make the process form physical storage to a digital archive, an Ascentas Professional will work with you and your team to review your existing archive and look at how new documentation is generated and provide you with a cost effective solution to convert your records into a digital format.
Back scanning can be broken down into a number of phases to help manage the transition and remain within budget. Boxes can be prioritised to ensure that your archive is always available to you during the process.
Your scanned material can be uploaded into an existing organisation wide EDM system or, for a complete document scanning and document management solution, we can upload your digital media into our state-of-the-art online document management solution, PaperfortTM, enabling you to search your entire repository of documents down to the page level, index reference and document type and much, much more all via a secure web application, iOS or Android device.
